An Assemblage Class with Cat Kaufman

Have you been accumulating pieces of memorabilia or small found objects for years, saying one day you’ll turn all of this into a piece of art? This is the class for you! Cat will help you compose a narrative using your own small objects and attach them into a beautiful piece of artwork to hang in your own home or give as a memorable gift.

Date: Saturday and Sunday, April 6 & 7, 2019

Time: 10-3pm 

Location: Healdsburg Community Center, 1557 Healdsburg Avenue

This workshop is open to ages 8 – adult. Youth 8-11 must be with an adult also taking the class.

Materials Provided:

Tools, wire, screws, nails, glue, workspace, ideas, help with composition and attachment, Cat will l have some boxes and things for sale if you need just that right piece!

Materials required to bring:

Your lunch, box or other base for piece (Cat has some for sale), ephemera and found objects such as small dolls, photos, old objects, letters, maps, clock parts, nature, jewelry pieces, old keys, etc.  See Cat’s website for more ideas, catkaufman.com

About Cat

Cat Kaufman is a full time mixed media artist and art teacher with a studio in the SOFA Arts District of Santa Rosa, CA.  She has a BA in Elementary Education and an MPA in Nonprofit Administration.
