Through the generous support of our private donors, HCA is offering an opportunity for new emerging artists to regularly exhibit their work at the Healdsburg Center for the Arts. The artist sponsorship is a free opportunity for emerging artists to not only exhibit and sell their work at HCA but, to learn about the business of art at a nonprofit arts organization and develop their artist resumes.
Selected artist(s) will receive an 8’ exhibition space at HCA in which to display and sell their work, completely paid for by our private donors. The term for the artist sponsorship at HCA is 6 months, subject to change at the discretion of the patron donors. At the completion of 6 months, private donors will meet to discuss and decide whether to extend the duration of the artist sponsorship or not.
Selected artist(s) will be required to meet with the patron donors on a routine basis at a time TBD to evaluate and determine progress.
Selected artists will be required to volunteer a minimum of 12 hours monthly at HCA, this can include working as a docent at the HCA front desk, running errands, helping during special events or performing promotional work for the organization among others.
The HCA artist sponsorship presents an amazing opportunity for upcoming artists to learn, exhibit and sell their artwork in one of the most prime locations for art in the U.S. The successful candidate will possess a desire to learn more about art and how to develop their skills and knowledge, be driven, consistent and dependable.
All interested emerging artists are encouraged to complete the application below.
Personal note from patron sponsors:
Hello Emerging Artist,
You have applied for consideration to be sponsored at HCA by my partner & I. We are private donors that want to help HCA continue to be a great gallery, and help emerging artists where we can as part of our support. In support of our goal, we have some questions that we are asking everyone that applies to answer. These questions were written to just help us get a sense of who you are, and help us decide who we want to subsequently interview for a possible sponsorship. Please note’ there is no right or wrong answer to these questions. If you don’t want to answer a question, then don’t. Just state something to the effect that it’s personal information, and unwilling to provide at this time. The more you can provide, the better though.
