Tuition Assistance

Healdsburg Center for the Arts desires to make art experiences available to all interested youth. To that end, we offer tuition assistance in the form of full and partial scholarships and work-study opportunities.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship amounts are determined based on family size and annual income, but in some cases we are able to use alternative methods to verify financial need. HCA typically provides a tuition discount of between 30% and 100% per class or camp session. Families and individuals who qualify for tuition assistance may use the same discount rate for an entire year, and may reapply annually. Depending on HCA’s annual financial aid budget, we may need to impose an annual scholarship funding cap per family.

WORK STUDY AND VOLUNTEERING

We don’t want anyone to miss out on a class just because they can’t afford it. Earn credit toward HCA’s classes you’d like to take by volunteering your time. HCA offers a Work Study program where students can earn $15 per hour credit towards class tuition in exchange for work done for HCA. Parents are able to volunteer to earn credits for a child’s tuition. Depending on your skill-set, we could put you to work assisting with classes, painting, performing building maintenance or doing administrative tasks.
