Ceramics: Beginning and Continuing Handbuilding

In this beginner course, you will learn all the basic clay building techniques to form pottery without the need of a wheel. Handbuilding allows a ceramic artist to hand-form whatever they desire including bowls, platters, vases, figurines and more. Learn techniques such as pinch pottery, coil building, and slab building. No previous experience is necessary. All materials included clay, glazes and kiln costs. Firing and glazing are optional, but, available.  Returning students can hone the skills they’ve already acquired as they advance to the next level.

About the cost:
Healdsburg Center for the Arts desires to make art experiences available to all. To that end, we offer tuition assistance in the form of full and partial scholarships and work-study opportunities. Click here for more information
