Colored Pencil Botanical Drawing 

Dive into something fun this summer and take a day to explore the world of botanical drawing with colored pencil! Learn how to use colored pencil to achieve beautiful and fine renderings of botanical subjects. In this workshop, you will learn various principles and techniques for using this medium. Class will include demonstrations, exercises and hands-on drawing time of a botanical subject. Students will have a 30-minute break to have lunch. Class instruction will gear towards a beginning level, but students with more colored pencil experience seeking feedback, assistance and pointers are welcomed. Instruction will be structured in a way that will address the needs of the attendees.

Victoria A. Kochergin is a local botanical artist whose artwork has been exhibited on Alcatraz, in galleries, botanical gardens, wineries, expos and international exhibits. Her artwork has been featured in multiple publications. As a botanical artist, Victoria is passionate about capturing the many details and individual qualities of each botanical she draws. She is a long standing member of the American Society of Botanical Artists, the Northern California Society of Botanical Artists and continues to create, exhibit and teach colored pencil botanical art classes.
