This workshop introduce and explore both traditional and experimental techniques in Drawing, Pastel, & Mixed Media. It is designed for both beginners and more experienced artists with an emphasis on explorations with locally sourced materials. Techniques will range from representational to abstract. We will also explore some of the concepts and ecology of site specific art that celebrates the unique place of Healdsburg.

About Linus Lancaster
Linus Lancaster has worked as a professional artist for over 20 years and has taught fine art at Healdsburg High School since 2002. He trained in drawing at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco and has an MA in conceptual sculpture and philosophy from Sonoma State, and a PhD. in art practice and soil studies from Plymouth University (UK). His teaching and practice is focused on multidisciplinary approaches to art production with an emphasis on site specific projects and locally sourced materials. He has exhibited both in formal venues and guerrilla installations in the US, Europe, and Asia.
