The Germans Upstairs

Monday, Feb. 5, 7pm
Doors Open at 6:30pm

THE GERMANS UPSTAIRS is a tale of forbidden love during the German occupation of Paris in WW II. Two German officers are billeted at the home of a wealthy Jewish family on the outskirts of Paris in 1940. One officer is refined, as is the woman of the house. She finds herself drawn to him and he is drawn to her. Their ill-fated story weaves its way through to the end of the war, ultimately asking us why we live this way. Roosevelts’ Women

Monday, March 5, 7pm
Doors Open at 6:30pm

Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt’s impact on American history is more than well-known.  Their complex personal and romantic relationships have been less examined although both had numerous relationships outside of marriage.  The play focuses on three of the Roosevelts’ affairs – Franklin with Lucy Mercer and Missy LeHand and Eleanor with Lorena Hickok. Join us for this reading and share your feedback with the playwrights.
