Eco Garden Art – June 14-17

Students create art projects for the garden with the use of recycled materials and traditional supplies such as paints, pastels, markers and clay.  Projects will include wood and wire totems, simple mobiles, tie dye flags, painted rocks and ceramic critters as we explore how to reduce, reuse and recycle in the most creative way!

Summer Season Sensations, June 21-24

Students explore a range of mediums to create art projects that relate to the season.  We will focus on nature as inspiration for projects including leaf prints, wind streamers, sunflower watercolors, printing with vegetables, natural dyes, solar prints, crawly critters from leaves and twigs and many more.

Fantastic Beasts, June 28-July 1

Students will explore animals large and small, wild and domestic, abstract and mythical.  With inspiration from illustrated books and photos, they will draw and paint, sculpt and assemble animal creations.  We will build a “child-size” wild animal habitat on the playground and create animal costumes for students to play an animal character of their choice.

Possible camp to follow if first 3 are successful:

 Mixed Media Madness

Students will explore multiple art mediums as they practice skills in drawing, painting, sculpting and other fine arts.  We will look at famous artists who have used mixed media for inspiration.  We will also work on a collaborative project throughout the camp.
