September 8 – October 21, 2018
From prehistoric times to our modern age, the human figure has been the subject for artistic expression. It has been used to record history, dramatize architecture, and celebrate beauty. The human figure is portrayed realistically, abstractly, or symbolically. From film to television and computers to emojis, the figure is used to communicate and tell a story. The narrative possibilities are vast and universal.
Our exhibition Figure Study—Hidden Story is open to all representations and media.
