Kim Winter is from southern California…shaped by the beaches, the desert, and an abundance of traveling.  She settled into studying art at Humboldt State and U.C. Santa Barbara, attaining an MFA in printmaking. Kim lives with her wife in northern California wine country.

As an artist she explores the symbiotic relationship between art and words.  Words inspire her paintings and the paintings become poems.
